One of the greatest comedians Umer Sharif passed away at the age of 66. The popular Pakistani comedian breathed his last in Germany. Umer Sharif was admitted to a hospital in Germany. Umer Sharif had to be admitted as his health started deteriorating after he traveled for 7 long hours by air ambulance to reach the United States for his treatment.
The Sindh government had sanctioned a grant of 40 million rupees for medical treatment of a legendary artist and he was being transported to the United States through an air ambulance.

Umer Sharif started his career as a stage performer at the age of 14 and went to become the ‘King of Comedy’. Apart from being a comedian, Umer Sharif was also an actor, director, and producer. He was also the host of the 2009 show – ‘The Shareef Show’
