The American theatre group, Uplift, presented their physical theatre performance, “Through The Waves”, at the Arts Council of Pakistan. The performance depicted the story of three women through music and acting, without any dialogue.
The audience greatly appreciated the performance, and the Cultural Attaché of the American Consulate, Anamaria Karrels, made a special appearance.
During her speech, Karrels expressed her appreciation for the American theatre group’s performance in Karachi and stated that it was an honor for both communities to understand each other’s history and perspectives.
The American theatre group also thanked the Pakistani audience for the opportunity to perform and expressed their desire to continue the series in the future.
