Renowned filmmaker Deepa Mehta (Funny Boy, Fire, Water, Earth) has come on board as Executive Producer for the critically acclaimed Pakistani film “Wakhri”, directed by Iram Parveen Bilal.

“Wakhri” will open the 19th edition of the Tasveer Film Festival on October 17th in Seattle, telling the poignant story of a widowed school teacher’s unexpected rise to social media fame.
