Culture Meets Diversity: World Culture Festival Karachi Kicks Off on Sept 26

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has organized a grand press conference to announce the upcoming “World Culture Festival Karachi”, which kicks off today, September 26, 2024, with an inaugural ceremony led by Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah. This 35-day festival will feature diverse cultural performances, including 40 theater performances, 55 music performances, 50 dance performances, 20 workshops, 10 talks, and 5 fine art exhibitions.

Festival Highlights

  • Cultural Diversity: The festival will showcase traditions and folk performances from Gilgit, Kashmir, Punjab, KP, Balochistan, and Sindh, with theater performances in Urdu, Sindhi, English, and other languages.
  • International Participation: 40 countries will participate, including Palestine, Türkiye, India, the UAE, the USA, the UK, Germany, China, Australia, and many more.
  • Artistic Performances: Renowned artists like Akhtar Chanal, Wahab Bugti, Mai Dhai, instrumentalist Abdullah, Faqir Zulfiqar, and traditional instruments like sarangi and flute will be featured.
  • Workshops and Talks: International groups will conduct workshops with students from Karachi University and other universities.

Tickets for the World Culture Festival Karachi can be obtained from the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Ticketwala. The festival will occur at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Kiyani Road, Saddar Karachi, Pakistan.

This festival aims to promote cultural diplomacy, peace, and unity and will be broadcast worldwide through the media. With over 100 cultural performances and 450 artists from Pakistan and around the world, this event will surely be a spectacular showcase of diversity and talent.
