Talks between the United States and Iran have started in Burgenstock, Switzerland. Qatar and Pakistan are helping with these talks. The Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that the leaders of each group will speak at the meeting.
The talks today are about getting the details right. They want to finish a plan that Tehran and Washington agreed on. This plan is to stop fighting and find a way to end the war.
The US and Iran have agreed on a plan. They want to end the war lift the US ban on Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. They will also talk about giving Iran its assets back and selling oil.
The Qatari foreign ministry said they started the Lucerne Lake Summit. They had the big meeting between the four groups. They hope it will help them agree on everything.

Delegations Hold Meeting Ahead of Talks
The quadrilateral meeting is happening after meetings between two and three parties who are taking part in the talks.
The Foreign Office said that Pakistan will have one on one talks with the groups from Iran, Qatar, Switzerland and the United States to say that Pakistan really wants to have dialogue and lasting peace in the region.
Before the meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir met the United States negotiating team, led by Vice President JD Vance.
The Pakistan group also met the Iran group led by Parliamentary Speaker Bagher Ghalibaf. Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar were also part of the meeting.
Groups from the United States, Iran, Qatar and Pakistan arrived at the place on Sunday morning with a lot of security and media people around.
A senior person from the Prime Ministers Office told Dawn that it is not sure if the Pakistan group will go back today the person said.
The Pakistan television channel PTV, which is showing live from Burgenstock said that technical talks between the United States and Iran groups could go on until tomorrow and that no one said when it will end and that the talks will go on for long as needed.
However Iran Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, talking to IRNA said that they planned for one day of talks, which will have one on one meetings with Pakistan and Qatar in the morning and then the quadrilateral meeting, in the afternoon.
Pakistani Delegation Arrives at Venue
The office of the Prime Minister said that Prime Minister Shehbaz and the people who are with him got to Zurich on Sunday morning. They went there to take part in some talks. After that they went to a place called Burgenstock. This is where the talks are going to happen and a lot of people are waiting to see what will be said.
The TV channel that belongs to the state, which is called PTV said that Prime Minister Shehbaz was with Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and some other important people who work for the government. The state media also said that CDF Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi are now, at the Burgenstock resort. Prime Minister Shehbaz and his team are there to talk about some things.
US and Iranian Delegations Arrive for Talks
US Vice President JD Vance and Irans Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived for the talks about the deal.
They are going to discuss the Iran programme and the Lebanon ceasefire.
US Vice President JD Vance arrived at Emmen Air Base at 5:59am. He had taken off for Switzerland on Saturday.
He said that the negotiators would talk about the Iran programme and the Lebanon ceasefire.
US Vice President JD Vance told reporters that he hopes they will make progress on the issue and the Lebanon ceasefire issue.
He said that these are the two things that US Vice President JD Vance thinks they should focus on.

The team also included Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Ali Bagheri, Abdolnaser Hemmati, Hamid Bovard, Kazem Gharibabad and Esmail Baqaei.
US Vice President JD Vance could only join the talks for a day or two.
He said this before departing from Joint Base Andrews.

The Foreign Office said that these talks are the time that the United States and Iran are meeting officially since they signed the Islamabad agreement on June 17.
The United States and Iran will have high level teams at these talks and Qatar will also be there.
The Foreign Office said that Pakistan will keep helping the United States and Iran with what they agreed on.

Foreign Office Announces Talks to Be Held in Switzerland
On Saturday the Foreign Office announced that technical-level talks will be held in Buergenstock, Switzerland on Sunday.
The talks will have representatives from the United States and Iran along with mediators from Pakistan and Qatar.
Pakistan will keep helping the process as a mediator. They want to move with the understandings made in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
JD Vance told Fox News that negotiations with Iran are going well. He said the US is in a position.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran will send a team to Switzerland. This was reported by the Fars news agency.
In Switzerland Iran wants to make sure the other side follows through on their promises. They want to know how the other side plans to meet their obligations.
Iran says it has done its part of the agreement. Now the United States must make Israel stop attacking Lebanon.
If the other side does not keep their promises the whole agreement is at risk. The other side must act fast. If not the agreement will be, in trouble.
US–Iran Agreement
The 14-point agreement was signed by US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, with PM Shehbaz signing as mediator. Under the deal, Tehran and Washington have agreed on a framework to end the war, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and a 60-day timeline for further talks.
The deal, ending more than 100 days of war, has been widely welcomed by the international community.
Once a final agreement is reached on Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the US will also facilitate the release of a $300 billion reconstruction fund supported by regional nations, the deal says.
