The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkiye have again said they stand with Saudi Arabia. They said they support Saudi Arabia’s right to be independent. They also said they support Saudi Arabia’s land and its safety. They said they do not like any attacks on the Kingdom. They mentioned the attacks by the Houthi group.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the four ministers met in New York on September 21, 2026. The meeting happened during the session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed events in the region and around the world. The ministers said they believe it is important to keep talking and working together. They want to help make the Middle East and the larger area peaceful. They want to help make the Middle East and the larger area safe. They want to help make the Middle East and the larger area prosperous.
The ministers expressed concern over continued tensions and hostilities in the region, and the ministers said that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only path to a lasting solution. I feel that the ministers truly care about peace.
The ministers also stressed the need to uphold the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding for lasting peace and stability. I feel that the ministers value agreement and trust.
The ministers strongly condemned all attacks against Saudi Arabia. The ministers support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security. I feel that the ministers are defenders of Saudi Arabia.
The ministers also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to defend itself, its territory, and its people in accordance with law and the Charter of the United Nations. I believe the ministers trust in the rule of law.
The four ministers stressed the importance of protecting the safety and freedom of navigation. I feel that the ministers care about the seas.
The ministers also reaffirmed their support for Yemen’s government and the Presidential Leadership Council in efforts to achieve security, stability and development through a political process and inclusive Yemeni dialogue involving all parties. I believe the ministers value a process.
On Palestine, the ministers reaffirmed the importance of the Palestinian cause to peace, security and stability in the Middle East. I feel that the ministers see the cause as vital.
The ministers reiterated their support for the rights of the Palestinian people, including the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and to establish an independent, sovereign, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine on the basis of the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. I feel the ministers are committed to a solution.
The ministers also reaffirmed their support for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity. I feel the ministers respect Sudan’s rights.
The ministers stressed the need to protect Sudan’s national institutions and rejected parallel entities that could undermine Sudan’s sovereignty and unity. I feel the ministers stand against division.
The ministers also called for an end to the flow of weapons, mercenaries and foreign fighters into Sudan. I feel the ministers want safety for all.
The ministers agreed to maintain co-ordination and continue consultations on regional and international developments to strengthen collective security and promote long-term regional stability. I believe the ministers are working together for the region.
