Electricity users over the country including K-Electric customers will see a rise of Rs0.75 for each unit they use because of the June monthly fuel adjustment.
The extra costs will be collected from users through their August electricity bills. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had asked for a rise of Rs1.20 for each unit, in the fuel adjustment.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) had not made a decision after the meeting. After checking the information Nepra sent out the official notice.
Lifeline prepaid users and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will not be affected by the increase as stated in the notice.
