Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated in Riyadh with remarkable zeal, unity, and patriotic spirit, as a series of grand events brought together overseas Pakistanis from all walks of life. These gatherings served not only as a commemoration of Pakistan’s creation but also as a reaffirmation of the strong emotional bond that expatriates maintain with their homeland, no matter how far they live from it.
At Noor Mehfil Hall, a spectacular event was jointly organized by Pakban Pak Media Forum and Red Apple Restaurant, drawing the participation of prominent community members, diplomats, business leaders, media representatives, and a large number of overseas Pakistanis. The highlight of the evening was the soulful performance by renowned singer Hira Khalid, who captivated the audience with national songs and melodious tunes. Speakers including Qazi Ishaq Memon, Zakaullah Mohsin, and Ishtiaq Heera addressed the audience, emphasizing that Pakistan was born from the immense sacrifices of millions of Muslims, and it is the duty of every Pakistani to value and preserve this hard-earned freedom. They expressed confidence that with continued dedication and unity, Pakistan would soon join the ranks of developed nations.
In another grand gathering titled “Hamra Pakistan”, KK Production hosted a prestigious celebration attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Muteb Al Saud and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, as chief guests. The stage was masterfully conducted by well-known hosts Sobia Naveed and Fareeha, keeping the audience engaged throughout the event. KK Production Chairman Khurram Khan warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. The celebration was graced by notable figures such as Haji Usman Abdul Hameed from Makkah, Abu Shadad, Gul Khan, United Media Forum Chairman Jahangir Khan, and President of Pakistan Overseas Media Forum Shoaib Altaf.

The program featured children’s tableaus, inspiring national songs, and a beautifully decorated hall adorned with green and white flags. Addressing the audience, Ambassador Ahmad Farooq stated that the celebrations symbolize national unity, patriotism, and the shared commitment to Pakistan’s progress. He urged every community member to play their part in the prosperity of the homeland, affirming that love for the country is part of faith and its development is the responsibility of all. Renowned singer Naeem Sindhi stirred the hearts of attendees with his moving patriotic songs. The evening concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and the presentation of honorary shields to individuals who have rendered notable services to the community.
Adding to the spirit of patriotism, the Young Journalists Association also hosted an Independence Day event where Chairman Mubashir Anwar addressed the gathering. He highlighted that overseas Pakistanis are ambassadors of their country and must uphold its image through their actions and contributions.
