Acclaimed television actor Hyder Qadri has officially joined the cast of Pakistan’s first digital Sindhi feature film, MARVI, marking his much-anticipated debut on the silver screen.
Announcing the development, Umar Khitab Khan, the writer and director of MARVI, welcomed the celebrated actor to the project and described his inclusion as a significant milestone for both the film and Sindhi cinema.
“Hyder Qadri is one of the most respected and recognizable names in Sindhi and Urdu television. His talent, versatility, and popularity speak for themselves, and I am delighted to welcome him to the MARVI family,” Khan said.
Known for his outstanding performances across television dramas, Hyder Qadri has built a massive fan following over the years. He enjoys more than one million followers on Facebook and over 77,000 subscribers on YouTube, making him one of the most influential artists in Pakistan’s regional entertainment industry.
According to Khan, Hyder Qadri will portray a major and distinctive character in MARVI, one that will allow audiences to witness a different dimension of his acting abilities.
“His role in MARVI is both important and unique. I believe audiences will enjoy seeing Hyder in a character unlike anything he has portrayed before. His experience, screen presence, and command over performance have added tremendous value to the film,” he added.
The filmmaker also described Hyder Qadri’s transition from television to cinema as a positive development for the revival of Sindhi films.

Currently in the final stages of casting, MARVI is Pakistan’s first digital Sindhi feature film and aims to introduce a new era of regional filmmaking through high production values, compelling storytelling, and a cast featuring some of the finest talent from television and theatre.
