Field Marshal, Bahrain defence chief hold talks on security cooperation

Commander of Bahrains National Guard, H.H. General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa visited Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. They talked about how to make defence cooperation and regional security stronger.

The visit included meetings with Pakistans navy and air force leaders. They discussed how to work on military matters and new defence technologies.

At the General Headquarters meeting they talked about things that’re important to both countries. They also discussed whats happening with security in the region and how they can work together on defence.

Both sides were happy with the relations between Pakistan and Bahrain. They promised to make their military ties stronger.

They also said it’s essential to work more on defence and security in the future.

Naval Headquarters Meeting Focuses on Maritime Security

The Bahraini delegation met Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the head of Pakistans navy at the Naval Headquarters. They talked about working on defence and maritime security in the region.

The Bahraini commander praised the Pakistan Navy for helping to keep the regions waters safe. He said they are a stabilizing force.

Air Headquarters Talks

The delegation also met Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, the head of Pakistans air force at the Air Headquarters.

The Air Chief told them about the Pakistan Air Forces efforts to modernize. This includes:

  • Improving capabilities
  • Building infrastructure
  • Making systems locally
  • Training

They also discussed new defence technologies like drones, artificial intelligence and advanced sensors.

The Bahraini commander praised the armed forces, for their professionalism and readiness.

He wants to work more on training, building capacity and new defence technologies.

Both sides said they want to work more on defence for their mutual benefit.
