The government raised the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel on Monday. They increased petrol prices by Rs5.77 per litre and high-speed diesel prices by Rs6.47 per litre.
The Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division sent out a notice about this on Monday. The notice said that petrol now costs Rs331.20 per litre, which is up from Rs325.43 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel also went up from Rs383.95 to Rs390.42 per litre.
The new prices of petrol and high-speed diesel will start on August 18, 2026, as part of the government’s way of setting petrol prices.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices in accordance with the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.
