The cast and crew of Mah-e-Mir walked the Red Carpet along with other stars and socialites of the Pakistani entertainment industry at the premiere of this eagerly awaited movie at a local multiplex.
The Red Carpet of this movie extravaganza was a star-studded affair with well-known names such as Aamina Sheikh, Anwar Maqsood, Samina Peerzada, Mawra Hocane, Shahista Lodhi, Angeline Malikand Tipu Shariffrom the world of showbiz and Dr Haroon and Mona Naqsh from the world of fashion and art were present among many others.The cast certainly stole the show at the Red Carpet, from Iman Ali’s high-fashion look in anAdnan Pardesy skirt coupled with a shirt by Munib Nawaz, with accessories from Mango and Charles Keith Shoes and a Farah Talib Aziz Clutch to round off her look for the evening, to ManzarSehbaiand Fahad Mustafa looking dapper in their signature jacketed look. Ally Khan looked hip in his trendy glasses and smart-casual ensemble.Sanam Saeed’s look spoke volumes for the fact simplicity is all one needs for a look of muted elegance.
The movie was well-received by the stars, media representatives and socialites with most raving about its literary and artistic aspects. The cast was on point with their performances — Fahad Mustafa truly shone as Jamal/Mir while Ally Khan brought flair as Nawab Sahib, and Iman Ali exuded an aura of elegance. Sanam Saeed gave one of the most poignant performances of her career to date and ManzarSehbai’s character of Dr Kareem was power-packed with incredible dialogues.
Mah-e-Mir is a venture made possible by the brilliant direction of Anjum Shahzad, together with the creatively-crafted script by Sarmad Sehbai and the unstinting support of the producers Khurram Rana, Sahir Rasheed and BadarIkram.
The film, which is being distributed nationwide by HUM Films and Eveready Group of Companies is a story that follows the struggles of a contemporary poet and draws parallels with the life of Mir Taqi Mir, accompanied by brilliant score by Shahi Hassan, the music director of Mah-e-Mir.
The stellar cast boasts Fahad Mustafa in his most challenging role to date as Jamal/Mir, the male protagonist, with Iman Ali in the role of the lead female protagonist. The talented Manzar Sehbai, Sanam Saeed and Ally Khan round off the ensemble.
