Dow University Health Sciences (DUHS) hold its 8th Convocation at Ojha Campus to confer Degrees, Gold Medals, Bronze and silver Medals and Shield to over 1500 graduates belonging to different disciplines. The degrees were conferred upon the graduates of MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, PhDs and other undergraduate and postgraduates of various disciplines. The Convocation started with the National Anthem. Provincial Health Minister and Pro Chancellor of The university Dr. Sikandar meendhro was the chief guest and Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammad saeed Quraishy also spoke the gathering.
Addressing the Convocation, Health Minister Dr Sikander Mandhero has emphasized medical graduates to provide medical facilities as well as in the field of research. He said Sindh’s Public Government has rescued the medical colleges and universities in Punjab and the current government is giving special attention to medical education examinations, because the teaching hospitals not only provide medical treatment to the people of cities but also remote areas through teaching hospitals. Health Minister said that his government has arranged a transparent entry test in the same day in the whole province as saying that the Chairman of this Admission Committee, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saeed Qureshi and Member of all Medical Colleges The Registrar of the provincial government is always paying special attention to the health of the people, whose results come to the masses.
